Guitar Summit will be held Sunday through Friday, June 16-21, 2019 at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. Classical guitarists ages 11-18 are invited to apply.

 

Contact guitarsummit@guitarfoundation.org or 877-570-1651 for more information and to become a member. Housing and meals included in total fee of $755. You must be a registered GFA member to participate.

 

GFA Guitar Summit 2019 will be open to day-campers, who participate in all daytime activities but do not stay overnight at the University of Miami. Tuition for day-campers will be discounted by 30% at $525 for the week, which includes all concerts, instruction, special events, and meals. Day-camp students are expected to be dropped off promptly at 8 am and will eat all meals with the overnight Guitar Summit students. Day-campers must be picked up from *7:45 to 8pm for ages 11-14 or from 8:45 to 9pm ages 14 and up. 
*Earlier time is available for older students by arrangement.  
**Friday pick up time range is after the final concert; anytime between 1:30pm and 5pm. 

 

2019 Miami Summit!

 

Come experience all that is the GFA Convention though a unique immersive experience with other talented young guitarists, our excellent staff, and the amazing artists of the GFA. Our guests this year will include Raphaella Smits, Laura Snowden, Les Frères Méduses, Zoran Dukic, Brasil Duo, and last years ICAC Winner Raphaël Feuillâtre. Perform with the GFA Youth Guitar Orchestra and open the evening concert of Marcin Dylla, learn in group classes with top instructors, and make life long friendships and memories during an experience unlike any other!

 

1) Special performances and artist experiences designed for the Summit students with 2018 ICAC winner Raphaël Feuillâtre, the Brasil Duo, and Zoran Dukic. 

 

2) Technique and interpretation classes with Summit faculty and guest artists including Les Frères Méduses, Raphaella Smits, and Laura Snowden.

 

3) The 2019 Summit schedule includes daily studio class, rehearsals and performance with the GFA Youth Guitar Orchestra, the vendor expo, and a final Summit Recital.
