Handbuilt in the old Kalamazoo Gibson plant, the Eagle is the workhorse of the Heritage guitars. This is a classic archtop with X bracing. This guitar comes with its original, highly sought after Rendal Wall pickup in the neck position, the guitar combines elegant simplicity with handsome flamed mahogany throughout.
The guitar has a clear, balanced and focused voice, with the warmth and depth you'd expect from an entirely solid wood mahogany guitar. The action is smooth and low over a gentle D profile neck with excellent original fretwork. The guitar is in excellent condition! No cracks, pick marks, buckle rash, etc.
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
