The 2012 GFA Regional Symposium in Washington DC was a wonderful experience for those that attended. The day began with performance auditions to select players for the evening concert, a Master Class with Ben Verdery, and a Technique Workshop with Martha Masters. A guitar orchestra rehearsal prepped students for the evening performance of Ellis Island by Ben Verdery, and the College Ensemble Showcase brought performers from various schools in the area to the same stage. All participants took home backpack bags, guitar tuners, polish, and strings courtesy of GFA sponsor D'Addario.

Age 10 and under Division: Grey Small, Keito Ishibashi, and Noupour Audinet
Age 11-14 Division: Jonathan Maranville and Robbie Belson
College/Pre-Professional Division: David Sobel
