GFA is proud to announce the new Editor of Soundboard magazine, Robert Ferguson. Bob began in the music profession as an independent studio instructor and freelance performer, and he remains active in both areas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music with distinction from Indiana University and his Master's Degree in Guitar Performance from the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington. His teachers have included Ernesto Bitetti, Jeffrey Noonan, Thomas Bikley, Javier Calderon, and Michael Lorimer. Bob has also studied jazz with Ted Greene and David Baker. Along with teaching extensively, both privately and at various universities, he co-founded and directed the Young Guitarists Program at the Jacobs School. Bob also hosts the weekly radio program, Guitar Showcase,heard on Northeast Public Radio since 1985. His knowledge of guitar pedagogy and ongoing scholarly pursuits make Bob a welcome addition to GFA as the new Editor of Soundboard.
