GFA Convention 2014: Los Angeles, California June 20-25, 2014 Concert Proposals Sought
GFA is pleased to announce that we will return to California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) for the 2014 Convention and Competition, with Dr. Scott Morris and Matthew Greif as our hosts. For those of you who were with us in 2007 at CSUDH, you may remember some wonderful aspects of the venue: an ideal Vendor Expo set up, a nice theater, and close proximity to the major transportation hub of the Los Angeles International Airport. Due to our move to summer, there is now great on-campus housing available for our use during the convention period. The housing is in the form of apartments, newly renovated, which will be comfortable and convenient living for all participants. The nature of this housing will allow us all to stay in one location, and have a great social environment on top of all the great convention events that will fill our days. This will be a convention to remember!
Take note of the unusual range of dates: the convention will run June 20-25, 2014. That means we will begin on a Friday evening, and finish on a Wednesday evening. A full schedule will be made available closer to the event.
Artists interested in submitting a proposal to play a concert should visit our website and fill out the online application. The deadline for concert proposal submissions is February 15, 2013. A call for lecture proposals will be announced this summer.
