The Coda Duo is an award-winning classical guitar duo comprised of Brett Floyd and Christopher Jenkins. The duo has presented concerts, workshops, and masterclasses at venues in South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Washington DC, Missouri, and also won first place at the Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival and Competition in May 2010.
The Coda Duo also released "Sonata Andaluz”, their first recording, which includes music composed for the duo by German composer Ralf Bauer. The recording has received acclaim for the quality of the playing as well as the diversity of the material presented.
The Coda Duo presents concerts consisting of both solo and duo guitar music that spans musical history and explores various cultural influences; from Bach to the Beatles to contemporary American classical composers.
The Coda Duo’s current program includes works for both solo and duo guitar and consists of music that spans the guitar’s history and diverse cultural influences. Featured will be "Sonata Andaluz”, a work written and dedicated to the duo by German composer Ralf Bauer. Other pieces will range from classic Bach works to music by contemporary American composers with jazz influences. The Coda Duo is known for presenting a diverse array of music in an approachable, expressive, and fresh way.
