Overview
The international classical guitar community's premier event will be held in charming Ithaca, New York. This year's Convention features concerts with brilliant artists from around the world, interactive workshops on topics ranging from warm-up routines to Tango Interpretation, and scholarly lectures to feed your intellectual soul. The Vendor Fair, International Competition, and Youth Competitions are regular features not to be missed.
Exciting New Features!
If you've attended but never truly participated in the GFA Convention (or if you've never attended at all!), 2009 is the year to change that. This year's GFA Convention welcomes all participants to perform in a Guitar Orchestra with special guest conductor Andrew York. Also, we're starting a new Private Lesson Package, open to the first 50 registrants who apply. These registrants will receive three private lessons with Convention arists for an additional fee of $100. We hope these new features will provide a wonderful educational opportunity for serious younger students and adult hobbyists alike.
