Kenny Hill Panormo Copy

Posted By John Schneiderman, Thursday, March 17, 2016

Early Romantic guitar after Panormo by Kenny Hill: Ben Lomond, California, No. 109, 1997
$4000US plus shipping
One owner, in excellent condition.  This one was built by Kenny himself, not by his apprentices in his workshop.  A comparable instrument new nowadays would cost thousands more.  Warm, round, clear tone; very loud for a parlor-size guitar.  Set up to be very easy to play.  Because of the wider-than-historical string spacing, tie-bridge, and strong construction that accepts modern string tension, it is the ideal instrument for a modern guitarist who wants to transition to early Romantic guitars.  A top-notch, concert instrument.
-European spruce top
-Highly figured maple back and sides
-Sloane tuners
-Ebony fingerboard
-French polish finish
-630mm scale; 51mm fingerboard width at nut
-ships in original hard case
