DOCTORAL TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP IN CLASSICAL GUITAR 2013-2014
ELIGIBILITY: DOCTORAL STUDENTS IN PERFORMANCE
FINANCIAL INFORMATION: The award includes a tuition waiver for up to 18
credit hours per academic year and a $9000 stipend annually. The award
is renewable for three years pending satisfactory performance of
assigned duties.
DUTIES: Assistantship responsibilities include instruction in applied
guitar, guitar ensembles , guitar classes, and maintenance of high
professional and ethical standards. The workload will be approximately
nine contact hours per week.
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION: All students accepted into the doctoral
program at Shenandoah Conservatory may apply. Applicants must have
successfully completed all admission procedures, including an audition.
