The D'Addario Music Foundation is a major sponsor of GFA, and this is the second year that it has sponsored a performance at Carnegie Hall as part of the ICAC prize.  The D'Addario Concert Series took place over a 12 year period and was funded, promoted and organized solely by D'Addario and Company and the D'Addario Foundation for the Performing Arts. After many years of hosting these concerts, the D'Addario Foundation for the Performing Arts decided to take a more philanthropic approach and began to donate funds to support classical guitar societies and other schools that were already producing their own concert series. Today, in addition to honoring our mission by continuing to support music education-related organizations, D'Addario and Company in conjunction with the D'Addario Music Foundation has re-established the D’Addario Concert Series, now named the D’Addario Pro-Arte Guitar Series. The winners of some of the top classical guitar competitions in the world once again will be provided unforgettable performance opportunities. The reincarnation of the concert series is a tribute to the D'Addario family's commitment to giving back and staying engaged with the artistic community.
