2013 SOUNDBOARD

As we celebrate our 40th year anniversary of the Guitar Foundation of America (1973-2013), we are creating a new look for SOUNDBOARD. Each quarterly issue will be printed in high quality four-color process throughout (for example pages of our new design, click here). Because SOUNDBOARD is and has been the premier journal for classical guitar in America these many years, we will maintain our high editorial standards, while we monitor advertising in each collectible issue to include those advertisers of classical guitar related material. This allows content to remain our focus while keeping each issue clutter-free and visually pleasing.

 

We invite you to advertise with us in our new SOUNDBOARD! We welcome an array of advertisers dealing in classical guitar – including music publishers, festivals/competitions, educational programs, guitar dealers, luthiers, accessories, and more. As we experience future advertising demand, if we are unable to place your ad in an issue, we will be happy to place you on an advertising wait list.

You must notify us by email of your ad selection before the art deadline in order to reserve space:  ads@guitarfoundation.org

(Please see MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS below for ad measurements and to ensure the best ad reproduction.)

2013 Ad artwork deadline dates:

December 15, 2012 (Vol. 39 No. 1 releases in February, 2013)

March 15, 2013 (Vol. 39 No. 2 releases in May - Note: 2013 Convention - June 25-30)
June 14, 2013 (Vol. 39 No. 3 releases in August) 
September 6, 2013 (Vol. 39 No. 4 releases in November)

    4x ad runs in premium locations may only run one year at a time.

Copywriting service available – pricing upon request.


Additional charges ($25 minimum) will be incurred by the advertiser for resizing ads and file format conversion; if files must be resubmitted to provider in cases of low image resolution or RGB color placement; and if any file is created with software not compatible per above specs.


A cancellation fee of $25 will be incurred by the advertiser for cancelling any ad after the submission deadline date.

 

Advertising Mechanical Specifications

SOUNDBOARD accepts electronic ad files in the following two formats:

      1 - Files must IMPORT into Adobe InDesign CS6 for Macintosh.

      2 - High resolution PDF files accepted.

      ALL FONTS MUST BE EMBEDDED or TEXT CONVERTED TO PATHS (Ad department runs Mac OS X)

 

Electronic files & text files:

Submit to ads@guitarfoundation.org (file size 8 MB or less) | Electronic ad files may be compressed.

      Electronic files may also be transmitted through Dropbox or our FTP site. For FTP site info and to notify of Dropbox transmission, contact: ads@guitarfoundation.org

 

• Color/B&W/GREYSCALE images MUST be Photoshop tiff or eps format. (No Compression).

      All COLOR PHOTOS AND COLORS MUST BE CMYK - NO RGB accepted.

      High resolution 300 DPI (Images at original size.)

      NO jpegs. NO computer screen-captured images. 

 

• Graphics/logos: eps format (ALL FONTS CONVERTED TO PATHS or EMBED ALL FONTS).

 

Design service is available starting at $65.

      Bleed size (color/image background) 9”w x 11.5”h – this allows .25” bleed on all sides

Back cover is special size due to mailing label (includes an 8.5”w x 2”h address area along top edge of back cover). Final size back cover is 8.5”w x 9”h; bleed size 9”w x 9.25”h (.25” bottom, right & left)
