Bruce Holzman has been Professor and Director of Guitar studies at Florida State University since 1972. His students have won prizes in competitions worldwide, including: the Guitar Foundation of America Competition, the Alirio Díaz Competition of Caracas, Venezuela; the Toronto International Guitar Festival Competition. Many of his students hold teaching positions at prominent schools, including: Stetson University, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Holzman was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the Fifth New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes held in his honor, "El Maestro/Tradition of the Masters.”
